Celebrating 40 Years of Caring, Learning, and Growing Together
Since our practice began in 1986, dentistry has changed in ways that would have been hard to imagine back then. Technology has advanced, our understanding of oral and overall health has grown, and the possibilities for helping patients live healthier, more comfortable lives have expanded tremendously.
Through all the changes, one thing has remained at the heart of our practice: people. As we celebrate 40 years, we are grateful for every patient, family, team member, and relationship that has helped shape who we are today.
Four Decades of Growing with Dentistry
Think about how much has changed since 1986. Over the years, new research and technology have given us better ways to understand what is happening not only with your teeth and gums but also with your jaw, airway, breathing, sleep, and overall wellness. Our practice has grown along with that knowledge.
Today, our approach includes general and cosmetic dentistry as well as laser dentistry, TMJ and craniofacial pain care, sleep apnea treatment, airway health, and wellness-focused dentistry. That evolution has not happened simply because dentistry has more technology or more treatment options than it once did. It has come from a commitment to keep learning and asking an important question: How can we use what we know today to care for our patients even better?
Technology Has Changed. Relationships Haven’t.
Some of the tools we use today would have seemed futuristic 40 years ago. Digital imaging, 3D technology, digital scanning, and advanced dental lasers can give us detailed information, help us plan treatment, and make many aspects of dental care more precise and comfortable.
We love what technology allows us to do, but even the most sophisticated technology can’t replace a conversation. We still believe in sitting down with you, listening to what you are experiencing, answering your questions, and understanding what you want for your health. That has been true throughout our history, and it remains just as important today.
Looking Beyond the Smile
One of the most exciting ways our practice has evolved is in how we think about dental health. Your mouth is not separate from the rest of your body. The way you breathe and sleep matters. The way your jaw functions matters. Your gum health matters. The way your teeth come together matters. Even symptoms that don’t immediately seem dental can sometimes offer useful clues about the bigger picture.
That understanding has helped shape the comprehensive, wellness-focused approach we bring to patient care today. Sometimes our role is to help you maintain a healthy smile. Other times, it may be to explore why your jaw hurts, why you are not sleeping well, or whether an airway concern could be affecting your quality of life. Whatever brings you through our doors, we want to understand the whole person, not simply one tooth or one symptom.
40 Years of People and Stories
When we look back over four decades, the most meaningful memories are not about equipment, procedures, or even how much dentistry has changed. They are about people. They are about longtime patients who have trusted us with their care for years. They are about new patients who walk through our doors and quickly become familiar faces. They are about families, conversations, celebrations, challenges, and all the ordinary moments that build lasting relationships. They are also about the many team members who have brought their knowledge, personalities, talents, and compassion to the practice throughout its history. Forty years is not one person’s accomplishment. It is a story created by everyone who has been part of this practice.
Thank You for Growing with Us
An anniversary is a chance to look backward, but it is also a chance to look ahead. We are proud of where we started, grateful for how we have grown, and excited about what the future of dentistry and wellness care will bring.
We will continue learning. We will continue embracing technology when it can improve the care we provide. We will continue looking at the connections between oral health and overall wellness. Most importantly, we will continue listening to and caring for the people who make this practice what it is.
To our patients, families, team members, and the Brentwood community, thank you for being part of our first 40 years. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
